Vibrant Tropical Cup with Delicate Fruity Sweetness

This coffee bursts with the tropical intensity of pineapple and passion fruit, balanced beautifully by the delicate sweetness of peach and fig. As the temperature changes, so too does the flavour profile—making each sip a new experience.

The lot features Ombligon and Papayo, two recently recognised varieties known for their complex and fruit-forward characteristics, now appearing more frequently in competitions for their outstanding cup quality.

The producer, Jairo, is a third-generation coffee farmer from Quindío, Colombia. He worked for over 40 years as the factory manager for Colombia’s second-largest exporter before retiring in 2019. In 1987, he purchased his first farm, Finca La Esmeralda, planting his first Caturra lot—and over the years, he successfully expanded to five farms.

Jairo’s family also plays an important role in production; his son Felipe’s lots have previously been featured as Strawberryand Peach, both receiving excellent feedback. Jairo’s Banana Infused lot was also met with great enthusiasm. During the harvest season, he provides employment for many locals, contributing significantly to the regional economy.
